How to Set Up the Fidelity Institutional® Custodial Integrations
For advisors that custody through Fidelity InstitutionalSM, we’ve launched new integrations that will greatly streamline and simplify the advisor experience:
- Access Fidelity WealthscapeSM from your 55ip portal with one click through our SSO (single sign on) integration.
- Simply select an account from a dropdown using our new account data integration instead of uploading tax lots when transitioning an account into a model.
1. How to set up one-click sign-in from 55ip to Fidelity Wealthscape
Custody clients will need to submit a Wealthscape Service Request through the Service Center to request one-click sign-in (SSO or single sign-on).
- Fill out, sign, and attach the Firm Level Access for Integration Services form, available on the Wealthscape forms library: Menu > Service > Forms & Reference > Form Library
- Instructions are included on the form
- Please download the form and sign it as Fidelity does require a signature
To request SSO, navigate to the following page in Wealthscape.
Menu > Service > Initiate Service Request > User Access & Entitlements > Access Request > Add or Modify Access
- Input any account number that is including under the appropriate G-number (any client account number will do)
- Inquiry Type: Third Party
- Add the “Firm Level Access for Integration Services” as an attachment
- Check the box for “Receive Alerts for this Service Request”
- Continue then Submit
Fidelity typically addresses these requests in 2 – 3 days. Once SSO has been enabled by Fidelity, you will be notified by Fidelity that your request has been approved, and you will have access to your Wealthscape Service Center and Order Status page from directly within 55ip.

2. How to set up the account data integration between 55ip and Fidelity
Custody clients will need to submit a Wealthscape Service Request through the Service Center to request account data transmission from Fidelity to 55ip.
- Fill out, sign, and attach the Outbound Transmission Request – Custody form available on the Wealthscape forms library: Menu > Service > Forms & Reference > Forms Library
- Instructions are included on the form
- Under Step 2, “Fintech Information” in the “Client Header Name” field, add one of your G-numbers. We need to use this as a unique identifier for the integration. Make sure to include the “G” at the beginning of the G-numbers.
- Under Step 4 “Account Criteria” on the form, add all G-numbers for which you want to see the associated accounts in 55ip.
- Under Step 5, “Masking”, select the checkboxes to mask all data except for First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name.
To request account data transmission, navigate to the following page in Wealthscape: Menu > Service > Initiate Service Request > Product Support > Platform Integration > Third Party Transmission Request
- Input any account number that is including under the appropriate G-number (any client account number will do)
- Type of Request: Add
- Add the “Outbound Transmission Request – Custody” form as an attachment
- Check the box for “Receive Alerts for this Service Request”
- Continue then Submit
- Send your 55ip Advisor Success Manager the G-number(s) that you submitted to Fidelity so we can associate them with your 55ip portal
Fidelity typically addresses these requests at the end of every week. Once the data transmission is approved and enabled by Fidelity and 55ip has associated the data with your 55ip login, you will see your unassigned client accounts (not assigned to a model yet) begin to show up in the Portfolio dropdown in the 55ip software.
